The goal of the Manipulation Lab is autonomous robotic manipulation in the presence of uncertainty. In order to accomplish this, we are addressing these key issues:
What are the fundamental mechanics of manipulation?
How should we model physical processes?
How can a robot construct a plan to achieve specified goals?
How can minimal sensor information be used to achieve tasks?
